Has been a Scotiabanker for 16 years, initially starting as a Manager in Proposal Writing then moving into various other Sr. Manager roles in the product group (New Product Development, Operating Accounts, SCO and Project Management Office)

Earned her Biochemistry undergrad from McMaster university, as well as an MBA from McMaster University in Strategic Marketing

Her first love is her family – 3 kids aged 4, 6, & 7, followed by dance, puzzles & baking

As leader of the Elavon Digital Distribution teams, Carolyn Anderson is responsible for North American sales growth, through digitally-driven merchant acquisition strategies and customer retention and expansion programs. Previously, Carolyn led the Canadian telesales and customer account management teams at Elavon Canada  

Prior to joining Elavon in 2014, Carolyn held senior roles with multiple Canadian technology companies, responsible for sales, marketing and communications functions including demand-generation and inbound sales, brand marketing, communications and investor relations. 

Carolyn holds a BSc from the University of Toronto, Canada and earned the Certified Professional in Investor Relations distinction from the Ivey School at the University of Western Ontario. 

Shauna Archibald is Head of Client Delivery for Chase Merchant Services Canada. Her experience in the payments industry spans over 20 years having served on the merchant acquiring and card issuing sides of the industry. She champions diversity and inclusion at JPMorgan Chase Canada in her roles as Executive Sponsor of Women On The Move and Co-Chair of the Black Organization for Leadership Development. Shauna is a Certified ScrumMaster® and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto

Michelle Beyo is the Founder at FinAvator Fintech Consulting, Advisor at Uulala, SheEo activator, Women in Payment 2018 award winner, 2019 award committee member and 2019 Money 20/20 Rise Up USA academy member.

A payment, loyalty and blockchain executive with extensive industry experience driving strategy growth, digital marketing, new products and innovation across retail and payments industry.

Recently competed in her first sprint triathlon and led her team to become top fundraisers for Push for your Tush Canada (CCC) 10K run.

Jo Canning is a Principal in the Toronto office of EMA Partners International, and has been in the search industry for thirteen years. She leads intermediate and senior searches for a number of financial, technology and consumer services clients in North America and in Europe, and often supports assignments at the Board and C-level.

Jo leads EMA’s Intermediate Global Payments and Transaction Services practice in North America, and is knowledgeable in all areas of today’s evolving payments ecosystem. Jo has partnered with both traditional and emerging payments leaders, including the largest card issuers, acquirers and networks, retailers and technology companies in addition to supporting newer market entrants and innovators that are looking to build or strengthen digital capabilities or transform existing payments or transactional based services or solutions. Jo continues to meet the needs of a constantly changing market, particularly in the growth areas of cards, mobile and loyalty. She is well known throughout the payments space, and highly respected for her expertise in identifying strong talent across functions including: Product, Digital, Emerging Technologies, Loyalty & Rewards, Big Data & Analytics, Software & Cloud Computing, Risk & Fraud, Sales & Marketing, and Operations.

Lisa Ford is RBC Senior Director, Enterprise Payments - Business Risk & Industry Affairs. In this role, Lisa leads a team responsible for interbank operations, business risk, and industry affairs for enterprise payments. Lisa and her team provide strategic direction to manage key business risks across payments transformation initiatives, while navigating ongoing compliance with the complex set of rules and systems underpinning RBC’s participation in multiple payments networks around the world, including Payments Canada, Interac, and SWIFT. Lisa is also RBC lead in multiple industry forums, including with Payments Canada and the Canadian Bankers Association.

Lisa has extensive experience with over 18 years with the RBC Law Group, supporting many areas of the bank, including business deposits, cash management, digital solutions, lending, open banking, and payments. As industry Co-chair for Payments Canada’s Legal and Policy Group, she has also been instrumental in developing the new legal and regulatory framework for Payments Canada’s new high-value payments system (Lynx) and upcoming real-time rail (RTR) payments system. As Co-chair of RBC Law Group’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee for several years, Lisa has also been a champion for diversity and inclusion in RBC’s workplace and the broader community.

Lisa’s speaking engagements include the global stage at SIBOS 2019 in London, England, where she represented Canada in a panel discussion comparing regulatory perspectives on open banking with the US, UK, and Australia; 2019 Payments Canada SUMMIT discussing wholesale payments and “Balancing Speed and Risk in Today’s Rapidly Evolving World”; 2018 Payments Canada SUMMIT on “Managing Fraud Risk: The Faster Payments Panel”; 2018 ETA Policy discussing “The Role of FINTECH in Canadian Payments”; and 2018 IT.CAN Annual Conference discussing “The Fintech Evolution Revolution”. In December 2016, she spoke at the Banking Law Institute in NYC about “Fintech and the Digital Future” with panelists including Beth Knickerbocker, legal counsel and Chief Innovation Officer for the US OCC.

Lorna Godin is a Senior Director on the Enterprise Payments team at CIBC.  Her responsibilities include the forward strategy, initiative delivery and ongoing oversight for critical applications that support the processing of everyday payments. With a passion for providing best-in-class experiences to clients, her most favourite role is to bring brilliant people together to solve tough problems. As a participant in the many events supported by Women in Payments, the opportunity to advocate for the development of women leaders has been a big part of her role. 

Prior to finding a home in payments, Lorna spent many years serving the retail and business client community, later moving into corporate office roles in process engineering, risk control services and commercial treasury products.  

Lorna feels privileged to participate in the selection of some of Canada’s exemplary contributors to the payments ecosystem. 

Appointed to the role in May of 2016, Lili is the CFO of Amex Bank of Canada and Lead Financial Officer of Consumer Services. 

As CFO, she sits across several committees of the Bank and interacts regularly with the Board of Directors as well as Bank Regulators. 

She is at the helm of the Finance Leadership Team and is a member of the Canadian Executive Team where she drives the financial oversight and investment decision making 

Lili joined American Express in 1997 in Mexico City where she started as a Credit and Collections Analyst. Subsequently she held several roles in Operations (Management Information Systems) and Consumer Services Finance.  

In 2004 she moved to the Latin America and Caribbean Headquarters in Miami, joining the LFO organization for Commercial Card for Latin America and Canada. 

She moved to Canada in 2008 to lead the Finance teams of Commercial Card and Merchant Services and transitioned to Consumer services in 2010 where she played an instrumental role in key co-brand negotiations 

Lili is an active member of the Toronto Chapter of Financial Executives International and Women’s Executive Network. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from Escuela Bancaria y Comercial (Mexico) and resides in Toronto with her husband Mark and her 5-year-old son Mason 

Shawna Miller is Vice President, Head of Marketing & Communications for Mastercard in Canada, leading the Consumer Marketing, Sponsorships, Product & Partner Marketing, and Communications disciplines. Her focus is on driving brand leadership through breakthrough campaigns, innovative thought leadership and solutions, and strong partner relationships. She is an active member of the Canadian Leadership Team, and Executive Sponsor of the Mastercard Women’s Leadership Network Toronto Chapter. Prior to Mastercard, Shawna spent her career in the Advertising industry, working with high profile clients and businesses across B2C and B2B, in industries including consumer packaged goods, automotive, financial, and government. She has a B.A.A. from Ryerson University, and holds a practitioner’s designation from the Institute of Communication Agencies.

Kashmera Self helps determine the role Interac plays within the Canadian innovation ecosystem. She leads the evaluation of opportunities on emerging trends and technologies and through enterprise strategy development determines what that could mean for Interac. Her focus today is on future-looking initiatives, specifically digital commerce, consumer-directed finance (aka open banking), data exchange, blockchain, connected cities, and social commerce. She has twenty years of experience in product management and leading go-to-market strategies within the payments, financial services, and travel industries with her career concentration on the digital economy. Kashmera herself was previously the recipient of the Women in Payments Rising Star Award and is often called upon to speak at industry conferences where she has contributed to the dialogue on innovation and transformation both within Canada and abroad.
